As a Project Manager at RVA Construction, Inc., you will oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead and inspire project teams, manage financials, and be the key liaison between clients, subcontractors, and on-site personnel. This role demands exceptional leadership, strong communication skills, and an in-depth understanding of construction processes and best practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage project teams, including subcontractors and on-site personnel.
  • Foster a positive, "can-do" work environment.
  • Conduct OAC meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute minutes.
  • Supervise Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
  • Issue and track all RFIs to ensure timely resolution.
  • Finalize negotiations with trades for project buyout.
  • Develop comprehensive subcontractor scopes of work and issue subcontracts.
  • Issue purchase orders and prepare job cost reports.
  • Track change events to minimize cost exposures and manage PCOs, PCCOs, and CCOs.
  • Review and track submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Prepare and update the overall CPM schedule, tracking material deliveries to maintain project timelines.
  • Ensure that all safety regulations and industry standards are strictly followed.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and promptly addressing any concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully overseeing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Bluebeam, MS Project, Procore, and others.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to various project sites as needed.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.

Compensation:

  • Full Time position
  • Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $120,000 annually, based on experience.
