As a Superintendent at RVA Construction, you will be the on-site leader responsible for managing all aspects of our commercial construction projects. From ensuring safety protocols to coordinating subcontractors and maintaining client relationships, your leadership will be critical to the successful completion of our projects. This role requires a strong communicator, a skilled organizer, and a proactive problem-solver who is passionate about delivering top-tier results.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Exemplify RVA Construction's Core Values and Core Focus in all project activities.
  • Lead and manage multiple projects or a single field team, ensuring effective communication across the board.
  • Take primary responsibility for safety on-site, including implementing the Site-Specific Safety Plan, conducting jobsite safety inspections, and leading safety meetings.
  • Schedule and coordinate subcontractors with a focus on meeting project milestones and achieving high productivity.
  • Assist the Project Manager with schedule updates and recovery plans, ensuring materials and resources are on-site as needed.
  • Conduct daily and weekly meetings to remove roadblocks and ensure productivity goals are met.
  • Coordinate self-perform work, logistics, and equipment mobilization, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Maintain detailed daily reports, manage punch lists, and enforce company policies on attendance and absenteeism.
  • Conduct all quality control inspections, driving resolution for any issues to ensure zero punch.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative project environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Project Superintendent.
  • Proven experience with adaptive reuse, urban infill development, and high-end multi-family projects.
  • Strong ability to read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and building plans.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures.
  • Proficient in utilizing computer skills, including MS Office Suite and Construction Management Software.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on organizational and time management abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Positive "Can Do" attitude with strong issue-resolution skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Working knowledge of construction processes, including submittals, RFIs, and change orders.

Compensation:

  • Full Time position
  • Competitive salary ranging from $52,000 to $90,000 annually, based on experience.
